Local provider Vyve Broadband invests in Guymon community

What do you look for in a local service provider? Fast Internet service, crystal-clear TV service, reliable Phone service, you may even look for topnotch customer service, but what about community service? At Vyve Broadband, an investment in the communities where their employees live and work is just as much part of their day-to-day operations as the products they offer.

From the day Vyve began serving Guymon five years ago, community service has been a core focus. “Whether we’re donating piñatas for Fiesta Days or setting up an Easter Egg Coloring contest for kids, we feel strongly that contributing to the community is just as important as providing the best communications services in town,” said Jeff Beck, General Manager for Vyve across the Panhandle region.

On their mission to provide the best communciations services, Vyve has significantly overhauled their network to minimize the chances of customer impact if damage to their fiber network occurs by investing millions of private capital to increase Internet speeds more than 20 times what was previously available and putting new circuits in place that provide dual redundancy.

In Guymon, Vyve now offers 105 megabit-per-second service, Vyve® XSTREAM™ TV, which provides access to Vyve’s live HD lineup (a substantial upgrade from the previously analog standard definition video platform), as well as Netflix, Hulu and other popular streaming services right from the TV menu, and unlimited nationwide phone service at the best prices in town.

Recently, Vyve hired new leadership who is building a team to service the Panhandle region and rolled out a program offering free local service on Internet. “It’s important to us that our customers are happy, we’d heard a lot of folks were hesitating to have a technician visit their home so we did away with charging for service appointments,” added Beck. “If you need help, give us a shout and someone from our local team will come by to be sure you’re satisfied, free of charge.”

Vyve has certainly made their impact on Guymon. Their bright yellow tents and signature Vyve Lemonade have become staples at events like Pioneer Days and Fiesta Day where they provide free WiFi service, and their annual ‘Create our Christmas Card Art Contest’ has become a favorite amongst children of all ages in the community. This past November, Vyve hosted an event at the Guymon Library where students received free art supplies to help garner participation in the contest.

“We’ve invested millions in our network infrastructure to offer the best high-speed Internet and HD TV, we’ve even launched phone service, but our commitment to the Guymon community is what I’m most proud of,” said Diane Quennoz, SVP of Marketing & Customer Experience at Vyve.

Vyve is already gearing up for the Fall. “We can’t wait for Fiesta Day! There is so much energy and culture that brings that event to life,” Quennoz exclaimed. “We hope to see everyone there in September.”
