Canadian senior Carson Thompson was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for the second week in a row due to his outstanding play in the Cougars’ 38-14 win against Strother Friday night.

Senior Quarterback, Thompson had 30 carries, 322 rushing yards and five touchdowns that led to the victory over the Yellowjackets.

Dumas player Orlandrick Tatum was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the Bobcats’ loss to DeWitt Fridaynight.

Tatum accounted for 30 carries, 176 yards, two touchdowns and a two-point conversion in the duel against the Dragons.

Durant senior quarterback Jaxon Ingram was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the Lions’ 41-21 win against Glenpool Friday night.

Ingram completed 167 total passing yards and secured four touchdowns in the victory over the Warriors.

Senior quarterback, Brunsma scored four rushing touchdowns and led a late drive in the fourth quarter to clinch the victory over their long-term rival.

Guymon sophomore, Carson Martinez was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the Tigers’ loss to Lawton Eisenhower Thursday night.

Quarterback, Martinez had 130 yards rushing and two touchdowns in the game against the Eagles.

Defensive back, Bighead led the Wolves’ defense to make some big stops in the game against the Chieftains.

Vyve Broadband is thrilled to announce Hollie Montgomery, Fifth Grade Teacher at Holly Harshman Elementary as the September Teacher of the Month in their annual program honoring outstanding teachers in the community.

The Vyve Teacher of the Month program is presented to teachers who have proven to be champions of the classroom and stewards of their community through their teaching, mentorship and leadership. Montgomery was chosen by Mena residents through an online voting process.

The entire Brantley County defensive unit was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for their outstanding play in the Herons’ loss to Jeff Davis Friday night.

Although the team lost a close one, the Herons’ defense held the high-scoring and unbeaten Yellowjackets 34 points below their season average. This was the first single touchdown home score since 1982 and the third overall in the 50th year of the program.

Thompson was all over the field in the team’s win. He had 61 yards in the air and with one passing touchdown, 144 yards on the ground with two rushing touchdowns, 50 receiving yards and a touchdown reception, along with a kick return touchdown for 85 yards.

Brantley County offensive line was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for their outstanding play in the Herons’ 34-16 win over Charlton County Friday night.

Tackles Josh Strickland and Noah Jones, guards Patrick Williams, Jaylen Daniels and Cameron Musgrove, center Will Gibson and tight ends Garrin Knox and Cam Allen helped the Blue Herons rush for 307 yards and control the clock for 34:18 of 48 minutes without punting. It was Brantley’s second victory in history against a ranked opponent, first since beating Charlton in 2016.
