Vyve Acquires FamilyView Cablevision Asset in Central South Carolina

Vyve Broadband announced today that it has completed the purchase of FamilyView Cablevision in and around areas of Pickens and Anderson Counties of South Carolina.

“I am excited for FamilyView to join the Vyve Broadband family, which is a company that has the resources to bring us faster broadband speeds, and to continue to be part of our community,” said Larry Waterman, president and chief executive officer for FamilyView Cablevision.

This acquisition will complement Vyve’s existing footprint in South Carolina. Vyve currently provides high-speed internet, television and voice services to residential and business customers in rural markets across 16 states.

Vyve has already begun the upgrades to the FamilyView Cablevision system to deliver broadband speeds up to Vyve Gig (960Mbps), which is consistent with the Company upgrade strategy across the country. Vyve Broadband is focused on creating unequaled broadband speeds and per Phil Spencer, chief executive officer, Vyve Broadband “We welcome FamilyView to the Vyve Broadband family and look forward to delivering a Vyve Gig this summer.”

Vyve Broadband announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to purchase the FamilyView Cablevision asset in and around Clemsen and Central (Pickens and Anderson Counties,) South Carolina.

“This is a very exciting time for FamilyView and I am happy that we found a company with the resources that can not only bring us faster broadband speeds, but one that shares the same commitment to the community,” said Larry Waterman, president and chief executive officer for FamilyView Cablevision.

This ‘tuck in’ acquisition will complement Vyve’s existing footprint in South Carolina. Vyve currently provides high-speed internet, television and voice services to residential and business customers in rural markets across 16 states.

Upon close of the acquisition the FamilyView Cablevision system will be upgraded to deliver broadband speeds up to a Gig (1,000Mbps), which is consistent with the Company upgrade strategy across the country. Eagle Broadband, Northland Communications and Vyve Broadband join FCC Chairman Pai in a pledge to “Keep Americans Connected.” As part of this pledge, Eagle, Northland and Vyve will, for the next 60 days, waive late fees and not disconnect Internet or Phone service to any residential or small business customer that calls to inform the company of their inability to pay bills due to the disruptions caused by COVID-19. Additionally, customer care teams will offer flexible payment options to help see customers through this time.

Eagle, Northland and Vyve are working with local leaders to help support keeping communities connected and also invited residents in need to use WiFi in the proximity of their local offices.

“We provide a vital service that everyone will be counting on over the next several months. As our students and workforces are shifting to the home, we want to let you know that our networks and teams are built to keep you connected,” Chief Executive Officer Phil Spencer said.

To further enforce our commitment, Eagle, Northland and Vyve have implemented extra precautions at facilities, retail stores and home visits including:

• Following the CDC’s recommendation for frequent handwashing. Including posting signs as a
reminder.
• Asking employees to wear gloves during installations and repairs, front counter transactions, and
while handling customer equipment.
• Regularly sanitizing the computer keyboards, countertops, door handles, pens, and credit card
machines at our locations.
• Quarantining and sanitizing our returned equipment.
• Encouraging the practice of social distancing in our offices and in customer homes and locations.

Claiborne player Haydn Hollin was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the Bulldogs’ loss to Cosby Friday night.

Hollin added two kickoff returns for 28 yards and had a punt return for 11 yards in the game against the Eagles. On defense, he added three tackles.

Rish had five tackles, five assists, one quarterback hurry and two fumble recoveries in the team’s victory over the Eagles.

Guymon player Trey Fields was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the Tigers’ loss to Bishop McGuinness Friday night.

Senior, Fields caught a 45-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter for Guymon’s only score of the game. This followed two long receptions in the drive that led to the touchdown.

Senior Quarterback, Hilton accounted for 11 carries, 162 rushing yard and four touchdowns in Friday night’s victory.
