The Senior Expo has been a staple in Seneca, South Carolina for years, a free community event where over 50 local businesses, health providers, financial services, and wellness organizations set up side by side so residents can connect with resources that matter to them. This year, Vyve was excited to participate as the presenting sponsor. Sure, that meant our name on the event, but more importantly, it meant our people were on the floor, four of them, making sure the day felt welcoming for everyone who walked through the doors at Shaver Recreation Complex.

The Vyve team handed out branded tote bags so every attendee had something to carry the information and goodies they collected throughout the event. They also distributed snack bags with Vyve swag and ran a Ninja Creami giveaway that had the whole room buzzing.

Michelle Fields, Nilsa Acevedo, Adrienne Orr, and Brandon Harrison worked the event together, and somewhere in the middle of the day, they found themselves deep in conversation with a group of women who turned out to be loyal Vyve customers. “I cannot do my job without the amazing support of my team and leaders in other departments,” Michelle said. “We were able to come together and have a hugely successful event.”

The Senior Expo is exactly the kind of day that reminds you why being part of this community is the point.

State of Oconee

Seneca/Clemson, SC | April 3, 2026

Every spring, Oconee County, South Carolina pulls its business community together for the State of Oconee, an annual gathering that draws a sell-out crowd of local leaders, entrepreneurs, and community members who want to stay connected to what’s shaping the place they call home. Vyve was excited to be a part of this year’s event that featured updates from Oconee County, Visit Oconee, the Oconee Economic Alliance, the School District of Oconee County, and the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce.

Michelle Fields, our local Customer Experience Manager and Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, was there early, helping Gracie and Dari from the Chamber get the event set up before the doors even opened. Nilsa Acevedo, our Senior Account Executive, joined as a guest. Together, they spent the day listening, learning, and meeting the people who make Oconee County run.

“Whenever I get to spend some time with the communities we serve it’s great,” Michelle shared, “but it is extra special when I get to meet the community leaders in their respected elements, that makes it even better.” A few of those conversations turned out to be with some of Vyve’s own longtime customers, proof that showing up matters.

Pickens in Full Bloom

The Azalea Festival is one of Pickens, South Carolina’s biggest celebrations of the year,  more than 250 local vendors, a buzzing stage, and a whole community showing up together. On April 24th, Vyve was right there in the middle of it.

Our team set up a tent, provided Wi-Fi for the stage and vendors throughout the event, and spent the day handing out swag and, maybe most importantly,  getting some real face time with the neighbors we serve every day. For our local team member Michelle Fields, that’s the part that never gets old. At one point she got to meet a couple who are longtime Vyve customers, and they lit up. Moments like that are a good reminder of what this work is really about: not just keeping people connected, but being part of the place they call home.

Popcorn Fridays Turn a Simple Snack into a Hometown Tradition

Popcorn Fridays Turn a Simple Snack into a Hometown Tradition 150 150 Vyve Broadband

At Vyve, being Your Hometown Connection isn’t just about delivering fast, reliable internet, it’s about creating moments that make people feel at home. One of our favorite traditions? Popcorn Fridays. Every Friday, our retail teams across South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee fire up the popcorn machines and treat customers to a free bag, no strings attached. What started as a simple gesture has turned into something more, customers stopping by each week just to grab a snack, say hello, and catch up with familiar faces. It’s a small moment, but one that brings a little extra joy to the day, for our customers and our teams alike.

And like any great hometown tradition, there are a few familiar names that make it even more special. In Tazewell, Tennessee, the first bag of popcorn every Friday always goes to Jim. In Greenwood, South Carolina, that honor belongs to Mr. Steve. It’s these kinds of connections, built week after week, that remind us why we do what we do. Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about service, it’s about community, consistency, and showing up in ways that matter.
